Phoebe Wright
After being given her first guitar by accident at the age of 13, most kids would have strummed it a few times and then put it to one side to gather dust.
Not Phoebe Wright however.
After outgrowing her guitar teacher after only 18 months of playing, and writing some of the most emotionally mature folk music many of us have ever heard, it is clear that this is a talented young lady.
Influenced by the current crop of folk greats including Kate Rusby and with a very healthy respect for past masters like Cat Stevens, Phoebe works the lyrics she writes in to traditional based, mostly finger-picked guitar accompaniment, which all elements together bring out the most haunting of performances.
‘Little Roses’ will be Phoebe Wright’s debut release. The 5 track EP will be a perfect opportunity to get a taste of what is already a repertoire of songs with huge depth and feeling, and the start of a journey that will no doubt be long and very successful. The EP is now available from all good download sites and of course through Artree Music.
The title track is available to listen to @ www.myspace.com/artreemusic

Scattered Few
Scattered Few are moody, atmospheric and mesmerising. Creating a sound that even the most discerning of musicians would find hard to pinpoint. And with influences ranging from Zero 7 to Metallica, it’s easy to see why. This Reading based acoustic duo break through modern classifications of music, creating a totally unique sound palette with riffs ranging from soothingly soft ambience to mellow psychedelia with heart warming vocals.
The beautifully arranged ‘Fields of Sleep’ for example, is nothing short of a masterpiece. So simple in its composition yet so captivating in its execution, this band are undeniably a class act.
